Rijan Shahi you don’t have to be worried if you pass the SLC in more than 45% but now in grade system you can convert 45% in grade. This is the qualification for overseer engineering. You just have to pass the SLC first.
    Best of luck

As a high school student from Nepal, you have one advantage over many other international applicants:
You come from a small country, and it is “possible” that you had to over come tremendous odds against you to be as good of a student as you are. It is something to consider when writing about yourself in the application, and certainly something to discuss with the MIT alumnus or alumna who interviews you.

Given that, and the fact that only 3% of international applicants for a freshman class are admitted:

An application for undergraduate studies at an elite private college in the USA is a two-step process:

Required (but Not sufficient): You must prove to MIT that you have the academic capability to attend MIT, do the work well, and graduate within four years. That is “proved” through your
Transcript and complete secondary school report (major)
MIT’s knowledge of your high school program (minor component)
Your SAT/ACT/TOEFL test scores (minor component, except for the TOEFL)
Your two SAT subject test scores (major component)
The three mandatory recommendations from two teachers and a guidance counselor (or principal). These are Essential and must tell a compelling story about you as a student.

Given that, Almost 60% of the applicants could be admitted to MIT

Then MIT uses this essential piece of information to whittle the 60% to 3% for international applicants:

“What do you Offer to the MIT undergraduate community outside of the classroom?”

    That is proven by:
Extracurricular activities (in your school or community) that show you as a complete person with a passion for an activity, a commitment to an activity and hopefully from at least one of the activities the capability for Leadership.

NOTE: Just listing activities is Not enough.
If those three mandatory recommendations or an extra recommendation or two do Not tell a compelling story about you as a whole person including glowing verbiage about your extracurricular activities, then they did not occur and you stand a great chance of Not being admitted.

Of course, you do get a Bonus in that, for MIT, it is strongly recommended to get an interview with an alumnus or alumna of MIT who is a “trained Education Council member” such as I am for my area. As long as you get that interview performed Several weeks prior to any due dates, the EC member can assist you in their write-up, recommendations and contacts.
For many applicants, their applications are solid and complete and the interview is mere icing on the cake. But for a fair number, the interview can make or break the application, based solely on that second criteria of “What do You offer to the MIT undergraduate community outside of the classroom.”

…and the MIT admissions web site is Loaded with great information..

  • Scope of IT is unlimted.Although scope of IT in nepal is great but it won’t be easy to find jobs paying 70-80k in Nepal easily like sumi said. There is lots of competition and employers tend to pay less by hiring inexperienced information technicians since there are not much complex IT based organisations. But I am certain that things will change soon. Nepal won’t be waiting too long for digitization and high tech country I guess.

As I am not much aware of your interests and what field of work would you like to establish a career in, let me give you a brief understanding on each of these courses and what are the kind of opportunities that you can find with these. That way it will be easier for you to take a call and choose what’s best for you.

Both of these technical courses offer promising job opportunities in computer applications. A BCA course will provide you professional working knowledge on C, C++, Java and also in operational and financial management. This course will help you to start a career as a junior programmer and later on go on to become a senior programmer or a project manager, responsible for delivering projects successfully. Some of the other avenues that you can try out are system admin and web designing.

A Bsc IT will also take the same amount of time to complete and you will be trained on computer applications. It focusses on enhancing your knowledge on data structure, data application and OS.

Both of these courses have their own advantages. While students who are interested in the field of internet or database operations can opt for Bsc IT, those who want to pursue a career in computer applications, programming and software should go for a BCA. Both of these courses will be pretty useful as you will find plenty of job opportunities in the fields mentioned above.

Hope I answered your question. You might also like to that talks on the advantages of studying anytime and anywhere through a distance mode of education.

  • It seems from your explanation that you don’t think IT is very hard. Maybe you have the aptitude for it; as for that physics? I couldn’t do it. Not everyone is made for IT, but most people figure that out pretty quickly with a few courses.

Take a minute to think about all the various courses you have taken and you need to decide what you enjoyed and excelled at. For the classes you struggled with, is that why you didn’t like them or did you struggle because you didn’t like them?

For the readers, one of the things my better half and I did when we started college was start with the 4 year and got permission to take courses from the junior (2 yr) colleges. This way we knew in advance if the credits would transfer.

  • Well nepal is developing country so java development will be there…its salary depends on your skill

BSc in Agriculture or BSc in Forestry which has better scope?
Iam a forestry graduate. So let me tell you some important points about it.

Forestry is an allied subject under agriculture.
There is no special advantage for us as being a forestry graduates in forest related services even in interview stages.
For bank jobs AFO they prefer agriculture graduates
Not much collages or univ. In India so not much opportunities in teaching.
After graduating with agriculture you can go for more diverse fields for MSc but not much choices available in forestry.
Not much research in forestry as we are reading the same books and laws from British era.
So better to go for agriculture than forestry. But if you best your subject then doesn’t matter what you read, you will surely excel.

From my perspective, some of the most important people of Nepal are:-

    1.Binod Chaudhary
He is the most successful entrepreneur of Nepal. He is the only person of Nepal to be featured in Forbes Billionaire list. He is an inspiration to thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs.

    2. Anil Keshari Shah

He is the celebrity banker of Nepal. He has always been a source of inspiration to youths who want Nepal to prosper. He pledges to make Nepal a livable place again.

    3. Dr. Upendra Mahato

These are the top three for me.

Other include King Prithvi Narayan Shah, BP Koirala, Laxmi Prasad Devkota, King Tribhuvan, King Mahendra, King Birendra.

Others include workers working in gulf and middle east who are contributing to Nepal’s economy, intellectuals who are pride of Nepal, farmers who are the real heroes of the nation and all Nepalese who love Nepal.

Hello, the answer to my best knowledge to your questions is –

The only best way is to prepare for exams conducted by government departments. Work hard.
For UPSC, being Indian (irrespective of any state) you can apply and attempt the exam. And for TNPSC, being Indian you can apply but you should have knowledge of Tamil. and also for different posts, the requirement for knowledge.

What is the scope of CA in Nepal? What is the average yearly income of CAs in Nepal?
As of now, Nepal has poor compliance to taxation and other business regulation laws. Low corporate governance, loopholes in taxation system and many people are not within tax brackets.

But will it remain the same ? No, it won’t. It has to change to support the federalism and this will increase the scope of CAs in Nepal.

States will have to find ways to collect taxes to fund themselves. And for those they will need CAs for various audit and compliance works.

So hope first query is answered. Now lets come to second one. How much CAs are earning.

In corporate world a CA fresher are making around 3.60 Lakhs to 4.80 Lakhs.

However the experienced are making 12 lakhs and above.

CA in practice can make more money if they have effective network. But it needs a good time to make it. You have to grow your knowledge and network for it.

So lets conclude: CAs in Nepal can maintain decent lifestyle.

  • It doesn’t really matter what you select in your undergrad course they all more or less same, just different names. The curriculum is also similar in these degree courses. So if you are confused with either BBA, BBM or BMS, go for the best college/university which has anyone of such degree courses. Make sure that you score well whichever degree you choose as it will help in getting admission in good MBA college and also during the placements. And start doing some research on some good MBA colleges as per your specialization and start preparing for the entrance exams at earliest. The more you score , the more you earn..!! (Provided you graduate from the best college).

    All the best..!!
