What is the best IT college in Nepal? List of top 10 IT colleges (Updated)
Friends please suggest me which IT college in Nepal is best for bachelors? and what about the foreign affiliated colleges. Also, a list of good IT colleges with contact details will be great help for me. What are the top 10 IT colleges of Nepal. Is it true that IT colleges of Kathmandu are far more advanced than IT colleges of other cities of Nepal. I think there are few IT colleges in Nepal except Kathmandu but dint get exact details in any websites. Please help me get the knowledge of good IT colleges. What about the comparison between IT course of TU with IT course of Kathmandu University (KU) and Pokhara, Purbanchal Universities.

dear sajal khanal, please be specific with your question. simply IT means information technology and there are many courses available in Nepal related to IT. for example there is B.Sc. CSIT and BIM of TU and BCA of Purbanchal university. it depends on you whether you want to take the course of TU or Purbanchal university or KU or PU or foreign affiliated colleges. Foreign affiliated colleges may have high fee as compared to national universities colleges and they offer the course of only three years. If are planning to do bachelor from foreign affiliated college, in masters you may face problems. if you are trying do bachelor in the field of IT, it better for you to choose the college which conducts computer engineering too. i hope you get your answer. if there is still confusion, please write your confusion below. I think Islington college is best for Information Technology in Nepal. And ya, it is foreign affiliated college. Best will be you make a list of good colleges and visit them personally and make a decision. 2-3 din ma ta kathmandu ko sabai IT college haru visit garna sakinxa. In case of Foreign affiliated college, it will be good idea to make a small research on google about the University (foreign University) to know its global presence and reputation. This will not only help to get quality studies but also help while applying for abroad.

I think DeerWalk and Islington are the top IT colleges of Nepal due to their international accreditation and recognition. But I don’t know anything about them. Just replying this on the basis on knowledge I got on news, advertisements and random stuffs like that. And don’t get fooled by those paid top 10 lists or top 25 lists of IT colleges in Nepal and things like that. Do visit the colleges and do some research yourself before believing those self proclaimed TOP positions.

What problems are to be faced if we opt for foreign affiliated colleges?

I think for BCA, Aadim College at Chabahil is the best college for Students. It has full time study along with training , project work, internship and industry ready students. The BCA course is the best course available in Nepal among all other programs

Care to explain why you think BCA is the best course available? BSc CSIT is the closest we can get to the standard CS course. BCA has many management topics that are not really relevant to this field.

Dear Sajal,
Now, Bsc Computing is far better than CSIT or BIT. I am reading BSc at The British College & I can see the difference. I don’t know why we should study biology or chemistry while studying IT but in BSc, only practical knowledge is given. I gain all the knowledge I need to know for my future in the field of IT. Here, in TBC the teachers are all very experienced as well as very friendly. They are there whenever we have any confusions related to the subject. Also, the staffs are really friendly & help you whenever you need. -
