BBA VS BBS which is better in Nepal? BBA students get jobs easily than BBS?
Posted by Prakash on August 11, 2015 at 11:11 amEveryone says BBA is a better course for getting jobs and scholarships after completion. Guys my family cannot afford fee of BBA so I am planning to join BBS. Please suggest me whether BBS is really a lower level course as compared to BBA or not. Some say BBS is of TU so that has better chances of getting recognized internationally while some argue BBA is updated course and newer than BBS so has new courses and syllabus. Looking all the aspects, what do you think about which course is better between BBS and BBA in Nepal. Cost-wise, salary-wise and the scope in other countries except for Nepal? So please clarify me the differences between the two courses and also, which course you think is better; BBA or BBS. Thank you.

Firstly, the full form of BBA is Bachelor in Business Administration and Full form of BBS is Bachelors in Business Studies. If your Slc from govt school than no need to worry there is provision Of scholarship from Pokhara university to study BBA free of cost for that you have to pass exam Conducted the by the university if u pass u will ga et scholarship and can choose any College in Nepal affiliated from Pokhara university to study. Best of luck Cheers…

I think BBS from Tribhuwan University is far better than BBA from other universities. Now the BBS from TU is 4 years same like as bba. Cost is also too low but one negative point is there is no learning environment in classes in government colleges. And I don’t think banks and organisations prefer BBA over BBS. If you score 1st division in BBS from TU then you have much chance for selection. My friends who have good score are working in top commercial and development banks. So if you study nicely, there is no difference between BBA and BBS. Main thing that counts is how capable are you and how sincerely you study during the 4 year.

paisa vaye BBA nai ramro . tara aele tw 4yr a bbs pni. n its not less than BBA. sake BBA padne try gara, nam nikala. nasake BBS is also not bad. j padxau tesma fully dedicated vayera padnu. Also, There is another good course for management students; ACCA. ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountant) is a globally reconized and highly prestigeous and rewarding profession in the world so i heartly recommemd u to light ur future and be a part of ACCA.

If you are willing to study BBA then you can get scholarships for which you have to study hard. And if your family cannon afford the fee of BBA and if you are also not so much dedicated to study BBA then yup you can choose BBS for sure although BBA has a good scope there is no doubt that BBS is not good But as far as we see BBA is just valuable graduation compare to BBS graduation. But I must tell you that to study BBA is difficult and you know it”s expensive too. There are many affiliated by T.U, P.U, K.U etc in Kathmandu, Butwal, Pokhara, Hetauda, Biratnagar etc. that offer scholarships to students willing to study BBA so try on getting scholarship.
Have a great future and if you have any queries you can ask us.
Thank you.. -
4 year BBS or BBA from Tribhuwan University. I think BBA from TU is much more superior than from other universities.

So it seems like most of the students prefer BBS over BBA. Huna pani these private colleges are charging very high amount for BBA program and many don’t even hire quality teachers. At least BBS padaune teachers haru experienced ta hunxan. however, BBA vs BBS thing is little complicated because cost and teachers are not only the criteria for judging courses. There are lots of criteria. After reading the replies I also think BBS (4 year BBS of TU) is slightly better than BBA.

As far as i know BBS from TU with good marks and an MBA as post graduation has equal importance as of BBA and then MBA…. As my previous replying friends mentioned that studying BBS in the government colleges is not good because it has got no studying environment but i would like to add with saying studying is solely dependent upon the student with an aim and labour at studying. So if you are determined at and focused at your studies whether u study in a private college or government it really doesn’t matter. If you are laborious at studies even the teachers seem to be so helpful. I’ve seen many of my friends taking help from their teachers except in the tuition classes too… So environment is a secondary factor at willingness to study in my opinion.
And about BBA vs BBS yes as of today’s context BBA seems better at studying because of its course designing and the practicals and the effective semester system of studying but it doesn’t imply that studying BBA is unworthy infact if you think u can gain good results out of studying BBS surely go for studying BBS in the TU affiliated colleges because their study charges are low as well as there are equal provisions of studying post graduation programmes. So why not a BBS if you are able. 🙂 and they are easy to reach too… After the graduation you would become even more mature and would be able to think what’s good for you by then and what’s not….
Thank You and Good Luck For the Future…. 🙂 🙂 🙂 -
BBA is generally considered better than BBS. In the above comments too students seem favoring BBA for being superior degree than BBS, but this time more and more students are admitting BBA without understanding fully I guess. I think they are same and if students does well than BBA or BBS won’t mean anything from jobs point of view. Apart from BBA and BBS there is another similar course BIM(Bachelor in Information Management), which I think is more better being a combination of 60% IT and 40% Management. So, In conclusion while BBA is thought more advance course, BBS is also not much traditional. And the recent change in semester system has made BBS more attractive. I would recommend students to study BBS and do some money savings and join MBA from good college after Bachelors. BBA from TU is also cheaper than BBA from Pokhara and Purbanchhal university. 🙂

The cost of studying BBA in Nepal is much higher than the cost of studying BBS in Nepal. I think the cost to study BBA (Bachelor in Business Administration) in private college is more than 5 lakhs while BBS (Bachelor of Business Studies) can be completed in around 50000 rs including admission fees, college fees and books. The only superior thing of BBA, I think, is the presentations which help to enhance the personality of students and the attendance is also checked by colleges as opposed to BBS from TU where students can do whatever they like and nearly zero presentations. So, the differences are on the cost to study and advancement of the course structure. In comparing the syllabus, BBS has more deep and vast syllabus as compared to BBA. From name itself we can see that BBA is more inclined towards the administration while BBS is more inclined towards knowledge(studies). So, it is little bit hard to answer the BBA vs BBS thing and tell which one is best between BBS and BBA in Nepal.

i have cleared my +2 as medical field and i have given exam for mbbs in ku, tu everywhere but i didnot not passed so i thought to loss one year but my mom said to get admission in bbs course and study bbs and also give mbbs entrance exam..and i want to ask that is it okay if i will study bbs and also get prepared for mbbs??but i have dought that i didnt take management in +2 and does it difficult for me in studying bbs??
-
I mean is bbs a vast course ?? so that I could not get time to study for mbbs entrance exam?? I am a science student and want to join BBS as a backup course. Can I complete BBS without much effort and along with preparation classes for MBBS?
-
Hi Nitya, I think that will be a bad Idea. Getting selected in MBBS scholarship is not a joke. If you have interest in Medical field and ready to sacrifice one more year than why not think about other medical courses as alternatives if you can’t make to scholarship next year. Nursing, Microbiology, Bio technology, Ayurveda, Bsc Ag and other tons of good options are there. Plus if you really want to join in a bachelors program you can join Bsc from a government college. Bsc will be better choice than BBS. Either way this will distract you from the preparation for the scholarship. So, personally I dont like the idea of joining BBS while preparing for MBBS. BBS along with CA or other management courses are perfectly fine and blend well but BBS along with medical field or with medical interest sounds odd. Just my opinions. 🙂
