BDS stands for Bachelor in Dental Surgery. It is a 5-year course (including 1-year internship) in Dentistry that can be taken after +2 Science in Biology. After the completion of this course, you can work as a dentist in the Dental Department of Hospitals, Clinics, etc. You can also do MDS with various specializations. You can also open your own clinic. The scope of this subject is also good in the context of Nepal.

What do you want to know more about BDS? Please be specific to the topic you want to know so that it would be easier for us to reply and for you as well to get the specific detail.

You can refer this link for more details. Hope this will help you. https://studentsnepal.tempurl.host/bds-course-in-nepal/

Generally, there are no scholarships available for professional courses like CA in abroad. However, you can find lots of scholarships for other management courses. To know the details about scholarships, check the scholarship section of edunepal.com.

  • Civil engineering is one of the branches of engineering that has the most scope in case of Nepal as compared to other branches. It is the branch of Engineering that is said to be less challenging in getting jobs in the context of Nepal. Nepal has a huge scope of Civil engineering due to the damaged monuments, roads, buildings, bridges, etc. There are many fields of constructions and reconstructions. Recently, due to the earthquake of 2072 BS also, the demands for Civil engineers have been increased.

After the completion of the course, the candidates can work in the Government sector, the private sector, NGOs and INGOs. They can get involved in various construction projects. But getting a job and paid according to the qualification is very difficult. The salary paid for the civil engineers is too low. Even the Government officials are not fully satisfied besides their job security.

August 16, 2018 at 8:10 am in reply to: scope of Agriculture course and process to get admission

As we all know that Nepal is an agricultural country, the scope of Agriculture is very high in Nepal. Many people of Nepal depend on the agriculture for their living. If you are interested in Agriculture then it is a very good course to study in the context of Nepal. If the science students can get involved in agriculture, we can develop agriculture to a great extent and also help in the development of the country. After the completion of the course, you can work as an agricultural officer, technician, agro expert, field officer, supervisor, laboratory specialist, etc. You can also get involved in research and NGOs/INGOs. You can also specialize in different branches of agriculture like forestry, horticulture, fish farming, poultry farming, animal science, etc. It has a broad spectrum for specialization as well.

  • Hello Ashok, many students are found to be in a dilemma about which subject they can study in grade 11 according to the GPA they have attained in SEE. It is obvious for you to be in such condition as well. You have a very good percentage and GPA. Your aggregate GPA is enough to study any subject of your choice. However, the grade of Mathematics is very important to study Science and Engineering. As you said that you have only scored D+ in Mathematics, I think you won’t be able to choose science or Engineering filed. But there are many other fields to choose from. You can choose any field of your interest. Each subject also has own criteria of minimum GPA and grades required in different subjects to study the particular course. For the details of the course and the GPA required, see the link given below:

I think you can because Admission requirements for the Master of Nursing Science are:

    1. an undergraduate degree in any discipline, or equivalent, completed not more than ten years prior to the date of application; or

    2. an older undergraduate degree and either more recent graduate study that demonstrates current capacity for graduate study or five years of documented relevant work experience.
Meeting these requirements does not guarantee selection.

In ranking applications, the Selection Committee will consider prior academic performance and, where relevant, work experience.

After completion of the course, the graduates can work in the field of network management, database administration, web administration, advertising, information management, etc.

    <p style=”text-align: justify;”>
BCA is a fused course between technology and management. The students get the knowledge of the application of computer and information technology in managing database, administration, analyzing and designing system, etc.

The scope of all these courses is equal in their own field. Both these courses are good for Masters abroad. It depends on your interest and dedication to what you choose. Regarding University, TU comes in first priority. But as the seats are limited, you can also try in other Universities.

B.Sc. CSIT is course developed to impart knowledge of both theoretical and practical computer science and information technology. There is a vast range of jobs after this course like software developer, network and database administrator, IT manager/officer, technical writer, information system and computer system analyst, etc.
Comparing these courses, B.Sc.CSIT requires science background but BCA and BIT doesn’t need it. The scope of all these courses are equal in their own filed. It depends on your interest and dedication on what you choose.

You can choose various subjects to study after studying Biology in +2. If you are interested in the Medical field, then you can choose MBBS, BDS, B.Sc. Nursing, BAMS, etc. If you are not interested in pure medicine then you can choose paramedical courses which may be BPH, BPT, B. Pharm., BMLT, etc. Other courses for Biology group can be B.Sc. in Zoology, Botany, Geology, Meteorology, Microbiology, Agriculture, Forestry, Environment Science, Veterinary, CSIT, etc. All these subjects have a good scope. It depends on your interest which one would you choose.

B.Sc. Microbiology and BMLT both are lab-oriented courses but Microbiology is a bit diverse field and BMLT has conversed to only the medical laboratory. The scope of both these subjects is very good both in Nepal and abroad. As I have mentioned before it depends all upon your interest and career approach.

July 24, 2018 at 10:26 am in reply to: Fee stucture BSc CSIT

BSc CSIT (Bachelors in Computer Science and Information Technology) is a four-year course affiliated to Tribhuvan University in Nepal which focuses on Principles and Technology and designed to provide the student with all sorts of knowledge in the field of Information Technology and Computing.

It can be an expensive course or a cheap one. It all depends upon the college that you want to enrol or get into. The fee ranges widely from college to college. That means there is a huge difference in the tuition fees between the cheapest college and the most expensive one. Generally, the government or public colleges have cheaper fees and private colleges have expensive fee structures. As far as I know, the cheapest college for studying BSc. CSIT is Patan Multiple Campus, where you have to pay less than 2 lakhs for 4 years. After that, there comes ASCOL where the total cost is about 2 lakhs. The most expensive in the nation must be Deerwalk Institute, where the cost is about 8-12 lakhs which is much more than the previous colleges. But this college is definitely worth the money because of the quality of education it provides, the extra courses that’s been included in its syllabus and it’s capacity of building decent manpower. St. Xavier’s college had about 7 lakhs in its pamphlet. There are a lot of scholarships available in private colleges but almost none in the government colleges, but they are still cheaper.

Australia has became the 3rd most favoured destination for Nepalese students after USA and UK. There are many courses to join in Australia. The students are also permitted to do jobs while they are studying there so many Nepalese are attracted to study there.

Regarding scholarships, there are various scholarships provided by the Australian government and Universities. The Australia Awards Scholarships, Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI), CDU Vice-Chancellor’s International High Achievers Scholarships, IWC Scholarships for International Students, Melbourne Research Scholarships (MRS), Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP) International Scholarships at University of Flinders, Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarships, etc.

For the details about the scholarship and how to apply it you check this link: http://edunepal.com/scholarships-in-australia/ You can also contact the educational consultancies for the application.

In general you need to fulfill the criteria that has been mentioned in the scholarship schemes and then apply for the scholarship. Some Universities take entrance or interview while some don’t. After being selected for it, you will get a confirmation letter for admission. Then you can apply for the visa.

We all know that Nepal is the second richest country in water giving us potential to generate large amount of hydroelectricity. There is a production potential of 83000 MW hydroelectricity but only 43000 MW can be produced technically and economically in Nepal. However, only 1000 MW has been generated till date. So there are still lots of works to be done on hydroelectricity production. The government of Nepal has brought many hydroelectricity projects and will be bringing more related projects in future. Similarly, many private and public sectors as well as international investors are keen to invest on hydro projects in Nepal. But there is still the lack of technical hydro experts in Nepal so, there is a huge scope of Hydropower Engineering in Nepal.

Regarding the Hydroelectricity Engineering course in Nepal, it is available only in Mid-Western University of Nepal. The seats available are about 48. It is not available in Tribhuvan University, Pokhara University and Purbanchal University. You can compete for it. You can also try for abroad studies but it may be costly. You can apply for scholarships as well as you said that you belong to the family having medium income.
