This is a common dilemma between students who give examination of 12th grade in +2. Do you know how many students appear in HSEB plus +2 exams? Looking the stats of 2071, 7072 and predicting the HSEB data of 2073 we can assume that more than two lakh students appear for their 10+2 examination each year in Nepal and this number keeps increasing each year.
For science students, the best after +2 is to go for MBBS (for biology group). But to secure scholarship in MBBS is really tough and to study MBBS by paying, your family should have a lot of money or property. The next best students choose is Engineering. There are lots of engineering you can choose from. But better choose engineering field if you really have interest in physics because studying engineering just to get job in future is not a smart decision. Other choice is to move into IT field (BIT, BSc CSIT, BSc IT etc).Chartered Accountancy and B Pharma are also one of the most popular choices for Nepali students with science background.
There is a little less anxiety and dilemma for management students because the choices are a bit limited or they can choose among few alternatives. Most of the management students choose BBA after +2. Some hardworking/determined students choose CA, ACCA and other thought and rewarding courses.
However, there are many more options one chooses, besides the usual imaginations.
For instance, creative students could opt for design, fine arts or visual communication, photography, videography, fashion designing and similar courses. If you are good with numbers and you love hard work, you can explore Chartered Accountancy.
If you aspire to be a top chef or are naturally inclined towards cooking and kitchen, you have hotel management.
Allied medical science such as physiotherapy, have a demand in the health care sector of Nepal. Even a field like forensic sciences which is not much common in Nepal, needs skilled professionals. Ayurveda can be another beautiful choice given that many people now are starting to believe in preventive methods and natural care as much as possible. Ayurveda is gaining a Hugh interest and popularity these days.
So there are a lot of choices for students to study after +2 in Nepal. The first and most important question you should ask to yourself before choosing any course is” in which field I can do the most”.

Brother , Go for CA or ACCA if you are comfortable with changing the faculty. If you really love being creative and can study really hard with heart and brain I suggest you to go with Physics or Microbiology.

I guess everything is covered in the replies above but let me tell my understanding. i think except MBBS and Engineering the most popular and attractive courses for science students are
Food Technology (because people live to eat food and food-industry in a multi billion dollars industry and ever expanding)
Micro Biology (because this will be the back bone for medicine field and innovation in medical studies. Bio technology will expand to no limit in future)
Nursing for girls ( Age cares, Hospitals, baby cares and lot of scopes)
BSC in any subject (Researchers, tutors are in high demand, also opens the door for future studies and creates a strong base for further studies)
Ayurveda ( People are, and will continue to learn the importance and capabilities of mother nature. Lots of scopes for research and innovation, Ayurveda will be one of the leading treatment technique globally after few decade IMO.)

A science student can study any course they like from MBBS to Engineering to CA to Education. I mean all the doors are open for science student in Nepal. This also creates a sense of confusion and dilemma on what to choose among all these different alternatives. This turns out more difficult if you don’t have a exact aim or career goal in mind.
Anything can be a well-paid job when you give your best at it and also reach the highest level. According to earning prospective the best field would be pharmacy. Some other options are medical instruments and medical physicists.
You can also do MSc and preferably PhD in basic medical sciences e.g. Anatomy, Biochemistry, physiology etc, and then work as faculty in a medical college. B.H.M.S., B.A.M.S., Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Dental hygiene are some of the very good options to consider if you are thinking to stick with biology. I think you must be aware about other mainstream courses in bachelors level. If you are not, you can visit the courses section of studentsnepal. There are details about lots of courses you can choose from. This will help you to make better decisions. But the most important thing to keep in mind is, whatever you choose to study, if you study well and if you gain deep knowledge, it will work out.
