Lowest is 1500 during articleship at madwari CA firm. Average for starters/ freshers at good company is around 30,000 and huge increments in next year( increment of 10K+) . CA who had done articleship in good firm gets around 40k at the starting. After some experiences the average earning of CA is around 60k in average. That is not a good income for the qualification I guess. But CA can make extra income easily by signing files. One man one profession is still in dispute. So if this will be implemented strictly, the earning/ salary of CA will increase at a great extent.
So, the quick answer is lowest 20k highest 150k per month. This is in average. There are always exceptions.

Regarding placement, student who completes CA can easily get a job in the client of the firm on which he/she works. Clients will be more than happy to employ them. There is no such system of formal placement in Nepal. As far as I know. And I don’t think ICAN gathers such data. I have never seen or read about such anywhere. But I am not 100% sure about that. Maybe, you can contact ICAN to know about that.

The salary scale of Chartered accountants vary according to various factors like the industry in which he/she is working, city, experience etc. During Internships, CA students get a monthly salary of 3000-10000.Some of the average monthly earnings range between Fresh CA’s Rs. 20,000 – Rs. 40,000, Accounts Managers Rs. 15000 – Rs.50, 000, Financial Controllers Rs. 25,000 – Rs. 70,000, and an experienced CA’s may get monthly earnings more than Rs. 50,000 in Nepal and 5,00000 in abroad, according to the company they work for or depending upon the cities they are working in. Also, students who have not completed CA but completed the intermediate level and the 3 years internship period have a good chance of getting a job with a salary of 25000/month plus.

In summery, the average salary of CA in Nepal is:

Starting salary of chartered accounts is 50k but depends on your capacity to work. Experienced CA earns a lot while some CAs even work in smaller offices for 30-35k per month. So, it depends.

Here is my observation of salary of Chartered Accountants in Nepal. As everyone already mentioned that it is very much subjective and depends on a lot of things. But these figures give a general idea of how much CAs are paid.

    Private Firms: Starting Nrs 50,000

Nepal Rastra Bank: They recruit at level 9 which is higher than adhikrit. Salaty starts 50,000+ but I am not sure.

Multinational companies: Starting Nrs 1 lakh

INGOs: Starting Nrs 50,000 to 1.5 lakh (One of my sister works in INGO and her salary is Nrs 80,000 and she gets 2 days leave in a week. She has experience of 2 years)
