    Hello,

Firstly CFA is a much more premier course and cannot be pursued after +2. You need you have either completed your graduation or be in your final year to pursue it as they give provisional admission to final year students.

Secondly, irrespective of whether the candidate is a CA/doctorate in finance he has to give CFA from the very beginning itself. However, after passing CFA you get a lot of exemptions in a lot of courses like actuaries and others. But, if you are a CA you can opt for fast track system in CFA as well.

If you are interested in Finance and a graduate go for CFA. Its globally acceptable and better for your age. You can get the info @schooloffinance.com.np

  • 3 things to consider.

    For +2 passed:
    1) If you want to do auditing practice in Nepal – ICAN is for you. (Remember CA from ICAN is not treated as graduate equivalent as well outside Nepal, so also enrol for BBS in a college)
    2) If you want to be be treated as a CA globally or want to go in job market – ICAI/ACCA (ICAI is treated as Master equivalent in most of the developed countries and ACCA gives you B.Sc in Science or something similar).

    For Graduates
    1) Opt for CFA is finance interests you. It’s a gold standard qualification as per financial times.- Equivalent to masters in USA, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, India, Hongkong etc.Equivalent to doing MBA from top B-Schools like Stanford / Howard / Princeton etc.
    2) Prepare for GMAT – above 700 – try for a good B-school else work for some years and then try again.

If you have completed your bachelors then we would recommend CFA instead of CA. As I have qualified both, I can assure the value CFA will bring to you at this age will be much higher than CA or MBA.
