Photojournalism is all about creating a story in the image. A image that describes all the happenings according to the context of the situation and totally reflects it among the readers without the words being told.

Photojournalism has got a great scope in the international level as well as in the national level if you are outstandingly awesome in telling stories and conveying emotions as well as swaying away people’s heart by the theme in your captured image. Journalism is not always advocating for breaking news sometimes its about uncovering stories that are remained hidden, hidden somewhere in the darkness of the ignorance and the prime work of Journalists is to fill sparks of light into it. Words can touch but a more visible form has the greater capacity of persuasion. And that’s what a photojournalist is all about. They speak through their pictures. There are pages in papers where huge pictures of the story are pasted. Likewise there are TVs and News Channels who keep some remarkably outstanding photographs as their cover pictures. It all speaks their themes. There are many international examples where a remarkable picture had been the cause of several types of initials of social welfare programs.

So as per Nepal there’s a scope of it too. Photojournalism can play a vital role in tourism exploration because a well speaking pictorial representation of Nepal’s places shall speak in the International World how beautiful Nepal is and hence attract people towards visiting Nepal. Similarly there are News Channels that require a huge number of photographers to cover their stories…and many photographs are there who are hired especially to cover their campaign and their field visits, record their activities and moreover make remarkably important documentary movies…. all these fields require some really enthusiastic photojournalists who are keenly interested as well as devoted to their work therefore there a scope that’s prevalent a scope yet to be successfully made in the field of photojournalism….
    Good Luck for the future…..

I don’t think there is much scope of Photo Journalism in Nepal. if you manage to get job too, I doubt any media house will pay you attractive salary. Better will be study and work in abroad if you are thinking about such courses. Moreover, there is not very much ground to work as a photojournalist.
