Hy Reshma, I’m also a science students so as i know there are many colleges in Kathmandu, Dharan that offer this type of course. Your course belongs to Bio-Medical Engineering course which has a great scope in Nepal. After Bio-medical Engineering, a bright career awaits the students at hospitals as part of their Bio-medical staff. With ultramodern hospitals mushrooming all over the country, there will be a very large demand in this field. Apart from this there are various modern industries dealing in medical equipment, which prefer Biomedical Engineers. A student can also go for further studies, the field of Medical signal and image processing, Biomedical instrumentation, Bio-materials and Bio-mechanics, Medical Engineering, Tissue Engineering to name a few, in Nepal as well as in abroad. Through this interdisciplinary course, we share the knowledge to advance the opportunities and the significance of Biomedical Engineering in efforts that ultimately improve health and quality of life in Nepal.

Biomedical Engineers are very much sought after in the world market, In Kathmandu, Butwal, Birgunj, Biratnagar, Pokhara, Dharan, Hetauda, Dhangadi, Hospitals and medical device companies are in a great need of Biomedical instrumentation, Bio-materials and Bio-mechanics, Medical Engineering, Tissue Engineering pass out Engineers. There are many specialties for post-graduation in this field. After graduation, one can specialize in Medical Electronics, Medical Physics, and tissue Engineering, Bio-materials, Biomechanics and many others.
The Biomedical Engineering course is new to Nepal and in other places of Nepal and till 2062, this course was not taught anywhere else in the country Nepal. Due to this, most of the hospitals in Nepal are lacking the Basic need of at least one biomedical engineer in the organization. So to fill up such gap, College of Biomedical Engineering and Applied Sciences, with tremendous efforts, has initiated to offer the course for qualitative products; which is on the way of the success.
