My sister studies BSW in Bhaktapur. She says it is has a nice future, but there are many students studying this course so in few years there will be so many BSW degree holders in Nepal. Actually BSW is becoming an alternative choice for BBA in Nepal. Mainly girls are seen interested in this course as she says 70% of the students in her class are girls. I will tell her to create an account in studentsnepal and maybe she knows much about the BSW course. She is now in village and so no internet connection 🙂

BSW is Bachelors in Social Works. Social Workers are considered to be good people around us because they are mainly focused in helping others who need their help in every kind of places ranging from schools to hospitals to prisons and mental hospitals. Therefore, there are many benefits of studying this subject with a purpose and that is helping the society.

Today’s world need people who are foremost at helping others because we seldom find people helping others without a purpose. But social workers are people who help without reasons for their personal satisfaction of heart.

There are many fields where a BSW graduate can work. It includes in the field of Social Work in the Children related matters , Family related matters, School related matters, Substance Abuse related matters, Mental Health matters, Healthcare matters, etc.

There are surely benefits for BSW graduates in Nepal because a lot of NGOs and INGOs work with the government of Nepal in combined or independently to make the circumstances of Nepal better for the healthy and sound survival. These fields require some people who want to make a difference in their environment by their activities and that’s where the BSW graduates are required.

The BSW graduates provide aid to people, hear their voices and help them raise their voices up to the concerned authorities, they are seen taking care of the people at the medical institutions. They help people in need when they are into injustice due to abuse. They help in making the school environment better by making interferences in the systems of schools which are inadequate for the growth of children into it. They make remarkable efforts in helping the people rehabilitate to the society back after they are back from prison or been back after a serious disease healing after they have been ready to live a normal life after being into addictions. All these circumstances are prevalent in Nepal, therefore, there are benefits of becoming a Social Worker.

Some world popular social Workers in Nepal you can find are Anuradha Koirala and Pushpa Basnet. These people are really a gift to the society.

Concerning about the MSW degrees in abroad yes we can apply for the MSW degrees in Abroad if we are qualified enough to meet the University criteria.

Hope you have a good future. Good Luck 🙂 🙂 🙂
