Formal Montessori Degree in Nepal
Hi, I am bachelors passed out student (management faculty). I know from my friends there is a nice scope of montessori teachers (early childhood development) in abroad and also in Nepal and in Abroad, there are bachelors degree program of ECD which is equally recognized as normal Bachelors degree. But in Nepal, I see advertisements and boards of small montessori training courses like 3 months, six months only. Are there any colleges that conduct montessori degree program in Nepal, (Kathmandu,Butwal, Pokhara; anywhere). I want to study this course not just to be teacher but want to explore many things and want to contribute to the teaching system of Nepal. Please help me with information.

hey Deepika, In Nepal there are many training institutes that offer Montessori training in different level but in my view there are no any institutes that offer Montessori degree education but they offer advanced guarantee courses for candidates. In Nepal, there is a huge scope of Montessori training because nowadays many of parents are busy in their own work due to which they cannot take care of their kids all day for which these Montessori are established to take care children and provide them a comfortable environment and where they can learn new things, play wit other kids and in abroad also foreigners are busy with their works so there is high scope of Montessori training in Abroad too. Advanced course of Montessori will also be eligible for Abroad Montessori jobs if you really want to move abroad. Everywhere there is institutes of Montessori courses that offers the best training so notolny in Kathmandu you can choose Butwal, Pokhara, Biratnagar, Hetauda, Dhangadi etc where ever you feel easy to study.

Tq Reven. I found out that Kathmandu University conducts ECD degree program. Do you have any idea about that? Any other universities in Nepal that have Montessori or ECD degree program?

I too found out there’s a ECD program conducted by the Kathmandu University in Nepal but there’s nothing I could find unless we get to know about it from that administration only. As far as I know there are not much formal degrees regarding this studies…. Whereas the only formal education is meant to be in the institutes that provide these Montessori trainings.
