Universities in United Kingdom run two type of engineering program Bachelor in Engineering (B.Eng) and Master of Engineering (M.Eng). Bachelor in Engineering takes three years to complete. M.Eng degree is awarded after studying for four years. It might take five years to complete the degree if you are willing to take one year of work experience.
Some of the of the popular engineering program offered at the universities in UK
Civil Engineering: This degree deals with the study of construction, maintenance, renovations, design of buildings, dams, roads, bridge and canals. Students have option to choose from an array of minor subjects such as sustainable building design, environmental engineering, aerospace and finance. Graduates with this degree can find work in government agencies, gas facilities, the petroleum industry, railway industry etc.
Electrical Engineering: The program provides students with the comprehensive knowledge about the electromagnetism, electronics and electricity. Usually grads with this degree are responsible to deal with the issues related with small-scale electrical systems like integrated circuits.
