    Universities in United Kingdom run two type of engineering program Bachelor in Engineering (B.Eng) and Master of Engineering (M.Eng). Bachelor in Engineering takes three years to complete. M.Eng degree is awarded after studying for four years. It might take five years to complete the degree if you are willing to take one year of work experience.
    Some of the of the popular engineering program offered at the universities in UK

    Civil Engineering: This degree deals with the study of construction, maintenance, renovations, design of buildings, dams, roads, bridge and canals. Students have option to choose from an array of minor subjects such as sustainable building design, environmental engineering, aerospace and finance. Graduates with this degree can find work in government agencies, gas facilities, the petroleum industry, railway industry etc.

    Electrical Engineering: The program provides students with the comprehensive knowledge about the electromagnetism, electronics and electricity. Usually grads with this degree are responsible to deal with the issues related with small-scale electrical systems like integrated circuits.

    Mechanical Engineering: Mechanical Engineering program usually covers the subjects such as engineering design & product design, vibration, control theory & control engineering, manufacturing engineering, instrumentation & measurement, materials engineering, statics & dynamics, basic physical sciences and mathematics. It deals with the design, manufacture and operation of machinery.
    Chemical Engineering: Under this program, students learn the techniques of converting raw materials or chemicals into finished product by using applied physics, chemistry, life sciences, economics and mathematics.

    Computer engineering: The program focuses on equipping students with the knowledge and skills required to develop computer software and hardware. One studying this course have option to specialize in a number of areas including communication & wireless networks, coding, cryptography, and information protection, computational science & engineering, compilers & operating systems, signal, image & speech processing and integrated circuits, VLSI design, testing and CAD.

    Mechatronics engineering: The discipline covers subject such as optical engineering, control engineering, systems, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, sensing and control systems.
