Bachelors in hotel management or Travel and tourism after plus 2? I am confused.

I think travel and tourism is better in context of Nepal. There are many travel and tourism colleges in Kathmandu that conduct the course including some with foreign affiliation.It is relatively easy to find paid part-time work opportunities in the travel and tourism industry, since it is so large and there are so many types of visitor establishments and attractions all over the Nepal. The range of different working patterns available should make it easy to combine part-time work with your current study. If you are a cheerful personality, you can do great in this field. Also, you can gain cheerfulness and confidence while studying Travel and Tourism. So, this is another added advantage of BTTM over other traditional courses.

Another is hotel management (hospitality management) which is also a great course but I think not that great in Nepal as in other countries due to limited number of big hotels/resorts.Hospitality management covers different areas like hotels, restaurants, cruise ships, amusement parks, destination marketing organizations, convention centers, and country clubs while these alla are also covered in Travel and tourism.

But the problem is I’ve done business studies in +2 .

HM is a four-year program designed to provide students with the knowledge of hospitality management, food and beverage production, office and housekeeping management and hotel management. The course helps you to understand the dimension of the hospitality industry. This program prepares you to work at the supervisory level in the hospitality industry. Whereas Bachelor of Travel and Tourism management focuses on equipping students with the knowledge of travel and tourism industries and its operations. Graduates with this degree are capable of planning and managing trek, tour, rafting air ticketing and so on.
Since both of these subjects are different from each other, both of them have their own importance. Thus, saying one is superior to another won’t be justifiable.
No, Hotel Management does not fall under Travel and Tourism Managment.
Nowadays all most all the colleges that are running Hotel Mangement or BTTM program provide abroad internship opportunities, usually a paid internship but not compulsory.
