  software engineering or BSc.CSIT?

  Without a penny of knowledge of what the future should be I have just completed HSEB board examination with no knowledge of what do to. I know that I am only interested in software related field and most tell me(since I am from a science background) to take CSIT and most tell me that software engineering is the way to go. So what do I do? Which field has a higher prospect? what could be the average expenditure in each field? which career has a better pay? could someone please help me with this dilemma?
