Can I know what is the exact difference between IELTS and TOEFL. I have visited a local education consultancy here at Palpa and they said that I can apply for US with either IELTS or TOEFL. What is the difference between these two and which one is better in the context of Nepali students. Also, I don’t know how much it cost to do IELTS. That consultancy said they will start IELTS class soon but currently there is no IELTS institute in the place I live. We have internet here and Tansen( capital of Palpa) is also very near my place. I think there are IELTS or TOEFL institute there in Tansen. I am planning to go to study there. I have completed +2 in management. Please guide me how to study and which one to study.I am thinking of applying for either US or Canada or Australia. I want to know about IELTS and TOEFL…

IELTS understand for International English language testing system whereas TOEFL stands for Test of English as foreign Language. As both are language proficiency test, you can take any one of these but TOEFL is often said as TOEFL ibt(internet based test) is computerized based test, However IELTS is not.Scoring method is different in both of these. You can choose any one of these test to go abroad

IELTS and TOEFL are testing forum for English language to move abroad either for Academic or General Training.
So we cannot refer which one is best, as both tests are applicable in AUS, AUD, UK, or Canada.
Once you should visit nearby consultancy including those person who has already mastered in it.
It will enhance you ideology and help you to choose better path ahead.
    Best wishes to you.

Well, The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and IELTS (International English Language Testing System) are two of the most widely-accepted tests to certify your English proficiency. The basic difference between them is:

Length – TOEFL lasts for 3 hours, whereas IELTS lasts for 2 hours 45 minutes.

Price – TOEFL costs between 160 to 200 USD, whereas IELTS costs around 200 USD.

Score – TOEFL score is a sliding score between 0 to 120, whereas IELTS score is a band/level score upto 9.

If there arent any training institutes available at the place you live, you can always go for online ones. GREedge – https://www.greedge.com/ offers some great trainings, insights and consultations for the same.

TOEFL iBT is an English language proficiency test that is administered by the ETS via the internet to students opting to study in English speaking countries. TOEFL is a requirement for university admissions in the USA and other English Speaking countries to meet the language proficiency requirement. The requirements differ along with the University and also the program you are applying for. <div>

International English Language Testing System is an English language proficiency test, which is collaboratively run by UCLES (Cambridge University), The British Council and IDP Australia. IELTS assesses a test taker’s skills on Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking, where each of the modules is evaluated out of a base of nine. IELTS can be Academic Module (for students who go abroad for study purpose) and General Training Module (for people who wish to work or migrate to an English Speaking Country). You can find the exact difference here in this articlehttps://www.edwisefoundation.com/toefl-vs-ielts/
