What is the average basic salary of civil engineers in Nepal? How much do engineers earn working in Nepal. Can anyone give me the average salary scale of civil engineers and salary range of computer engineers, salary of electrical engineers, average salary of mechanical engineers and other engineers in Nepal. Is civil engineering the most paying engineering course? What are the chances of getting job after completing the course. I mean without any experiences. Except engineering consultancy what are the related businesses that civil engineer can do here in Nepal. Is Kathmandu the most suitable place for engineers to work or there are scopes in other towns and cities. And what about the salary of Sub-Engineers and Assistant Engineers. I know that it depends on the level of experience and the place where he/she works but what I want to know is the average salary of engineer without much experience or a fresh pass-out student.

Civil engineering is one of the branches of engineering that has the most scope in case of Nepal as compared to other branches. It is the branch of Engineering that is said to be less challenging in getting jobs in the context of  Nepal. Nepal has a huge scope of Civil engineering due to the damaged monuments, roads, buildings, bridges, etc. There are many fields of constructions and reconstructions. Recently, due to the earthquake of 2072 BS also, the demands for Civil engineers have been increased.

After the completion of the course, the candidates can work in the Government sector, the private sector, NGOs and INGOs. They can get involved in various construction projects. But getting a job and paid according to the qualification is very difficult. The salary paid for the civil engineers is too low. Even the Government officials are not fully satisfied besides their job security.

As in all professions, it really depends on many factors. Fresher civil engineers start working from 20k-40k. Vastly experienced civil engineers can earn over 1 lakh per month. Chances of getting job as civil engineering is also increasing as many huge projects are being started and government is showing interest in implementing better policies for foreign direct investments.
