    Hello everyone

I have completed my +2 level. Since I am from Science faculty, I am unknown about engineering degrees. Which engineering degree has best scope in Nepal as well as abroad ( mostly USA) Civil engineering, architectural engineering or computer engineering? And also Which one is better in terms of scope, job orientation & salary: IT or computer engineering. What are the various choices in the Engineering field and which one is most easy to get admission and pass? Please suggest me. I am in dilemma right now. Hoping your suggestions 🙂

Engineering is among the top choice of students who have completed intermediate level. With the increment of institutions and colleges providing engineering courses in Nepal, the number of students willing to enroll in the program is also increasing.

Nepal is a developing country, thus the developing activities are increasing which has opens doors for a number of job opportunities for the engineering graduates. Graduate with this degree can find a job in government, public or private sector construction companies, etc. Grads can work as an agricultural engineer, automotive engineer, a computer engineer, chemical engineer, drafting and design engineer, civil engineer, geological engineer, electrical engineer, geological engineer, software engineer, petroleum engineer and mechanical engineer.

Far-western University, Kathmandu University, Mid Western University, Tribhuvan University, Purbanchal University and Pokhara University offers engineering program in Nepal. And among them IOE (Tribhuvan University) is the student’s favorite. The bachelor degree is awarded to students after four years of rigorous study likewise it takes two years to complete the masters program.

Some engineering courses offered in Nepal are
    Bachelor in Industrial Engineering (BIE)
    Bachelor in Agriculture Engineering (BAE)
    Bachelor in Computer Engineering (BCT)
    Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (BME)
Bachelor in Electronics and Communication Engineering (BEX)
    Bachelor in Electrical Engineering
    Bachelor in Architecture (B. Arch.)
    Bachelor in Civil Engineering (BCE)
    Bachelor in Automobile Engineering
    Bachelor in Geomatics Engineering include

    Admission Requirement:
Applicant should have complete +2 in science faculty with a minimum of 50% marks
Applicant should pass the entrance test
Applicant should submit complete and signed application form along with application fees
(Note: Entrance test is not compulsory for the international students. They are selected for the admission by a special entrance committee.)

Some masters program (MSc) provided by the IOE

    Urban Planning
    Electrical Engineering in Distributed Generations
    M.Sc in Computer Engineering
    Infrastructure Engineering and Management
    Earthquake Engineering
    Energy for Sustainable Social Development
    Material Science
    Climate Change and Development
    Construction management
    Environmental Engineering

Generally, IOE held the entrance test of the engineering program at the starting of the November and online form is made available 1 month prior.

    Admission Requirements for Master’s level

To be the engineer a person must  be passed +2 with the good marks in science, either in physics or in biology. people think bio. student may not get a chance to be an engineer but it is wrong. you can read as your choices of engineering but in engineering also the most popular engineering is :

    1. Aeronautical engineering               2. Agricultural engineering           3. Geomatics engineering        4. Environmental engineering

    5. Civil engineering                              6. Electrical engineering                7. Architecture engineering      8. Computer engineering

    9. Mechanical engineering                  10. Biomedical engineering

    And others………………………..

but you can do deplopma in engineering which is 3 years course and the bachloer is for 4 years. further your choice..
