Since Nepal is an agricultural country, no one can ever question the significance of agriculture education in Nepal. Moreover, Nepal is in a great need of educated and skilled agriculturist. So, one with the degree will always find things to do. Grads with this degree can serve in the NGO & INGOS, government sector. They can be self employed as well. About Program:
Bachelor of Science in Agriculture is a four-year course comprising 8 semesters and 167 credit hours. The program is designed to produce professional agriculturist. The course equips students with the knowledge and understanding of modern farming and teaches them the fundamentals of agriculture. It emphasize on developing the skills required to upgrade the agriculture systems; its production and sustainability.

The program provides the knowledge of the application of the modern agriculture system. Students studying the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture have to undertake subjects such as Rural Sociology, Fundamentals of Soil; Science and Geology, Introductory Horticulture, Principles of Agronomy, Principles of Economics, General Biochemistry, Rural Sociology, Ornamental Horticulture, Fruits and Planting Crop Production, Grain Legumes and Oilseed Production, Agricultural and Environmental Economics, Introductory Plant Breeding, Vegetable and Spice Crop Production and Environmental Pollution and Protection, etc. In the 5th semester, students are provided with the option to choose with elective subject they want to study; Soil Science, Sustainable Agriculture, Horticulture, Development Studies, Plant Protection, Livestock Production and Management and Agri-economics and Business Management. In the final year, students should prepare a dissertation. Students should undertake the internship as well.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicant must have completed + in science faculty
Applicant should have studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Compulsory English
Applicant should have obtained at least fifty percent in aggregate from the recognized universities

Applicant should face the interview as well
