BBA is better or BBS is better
Somehow it’s true that here in Nepal, people think that BBA is better than BBS. Due to the rigorous curriculum taught in BBA and the teaching method, BBA always had an upper hand. But, the scenario is changing. Now TU has started 4 years BBS program which is believed to have a more comprehensive curriculum and is designed to provide students with both theoretical and practical knowledge.
BBA gets priority because BBA program focuses on providing students with practical skills but it won’t be an issue if you do an internship or part-time job before applying for the full-time job. No matter what you have studied, at the end your capability to work counts. So prepare yourself for that.
Talking about BBA students are prioritize while hiring in the bank, at the end of the semester BBA students should do an internship and most of the student do internship in banks, thus they have experience beforehand. So if you want to get a job in the bank sector, you can do an internship before applying for the job which enhances the chances of you being selected. If you have good grades and skills, you don’t have to worry about not getting a job just because you have BBS degree.
Finding a job before moving to Kathmandu can be very tricky, you won’t find a job sitting at home, you might get to apply for the post via internet but you have to face the interview before being hired. So, it would be wise to carry the essentials and some money before coming to Kathmandu. Finding a job, mostly entry level, to support your daily expenses is not that difficult. You may even get chance to work as a senior accountant is some small firm, but you need to have some experience if you want to work for well-known organizations.
