A-level is the new course enrolled in Nepal which is gaining popularity these days. It is an internationally renowed course known in the 160 countries of the world. It is a study programme designed and conducted by Cambridge University and is also affiliated to the Cambridge University, UK.

The reason behind A-level gaining popularity is that in A-Level studies students don’t need to read the pre-designed courses but they are provided to choose their desired subjects themselves. It is a interdisciplinary course for example: in +2 science if you study management you can’t study the science subjects like biology or chemistry but this A-level studies provides you the provisions to study management subjects like finance and account along with the science subjects like the biology or chemistry even with humanities subjects like sociology or anthropology. So there’s a wide variety in this study programme which is new in the context of Nepal. Similarly new subjects like Tourism, Psychology, Geography, Environmental Management has also been introduced in A-level studies.

And it is a two year programme too whose examinations are held twice a year in May and October. And to a surprise the examinations can be appeared at the end of two years session at once ,at the end of the year or at the end of A-Levels. There are even provisions if you don’t feel like the marks you secured are satisfactory you can appear the particular examination again and similarly in case u don’t feel like studying the subject you previously chose to study you are not obliged to study them the two whole years infact you can omit studying one and continue with the rest of the other two. This course has been popular as it tests one’s ablity to grasp the subject matter. There are garding systems too which includes As, Bs, Cs, Ds, Es and Us (For ungraded Paper.)

This is a internationally popular subject which is new in Nepal so for now if your future plans are for abraod you could go for A-level studies or else if it’s in Nepal its better if you study +2 because the course programmes are designed in such away that the studies in the respective streams are inter connected in the intermediates and graduates and masters as well.

This kind of studying systems are prevalent in abroad studies so the scopes majorly ranges in the abroad studies.
Think properly the matters and decide on your own….
    Good luck for future…. 🙂 🙂 🙂
